Hello I’m Lisa and I very much look forward to helping you to have a Happy Home, whether that is indoors or outdoors, or a bit of both. My main focus is providing person-centred Home Help support and domiciliary care for senior citizens and people with disabilities including post-operative recovery, via a range of potential services including companionship/care, food management, cleaning, gardening and light D.I.Y. jobs. Everything that my clients may require “under one roof”. Luton and Harpenden are my main working areas, though other nearby towns and villages will be considered.
I believe in building trust, engaging with and actively listening to my what my clients actually want in order to help preserve and improve independence and well-being. I also take budget into account, providing affordable practical solutions when issues arise. I am also proficient in liaising with clients’ key family member or advocate – often the person with (Lasting) Power of Attorney. I provide detailed email updates to the key person after each visit, in which I highlight the positive achievements and also identify any new concerns or issues. I can also provide detailed assessments as and when required to assist with obtaining further support from other care partners and organisations.
I am experienced in working with people who have various types of Dementia so I am able to provide thorough support in this area, working with this condition to continuously improve well-being. I provide additional support by advising on and providing effective measures to assist coping with daily life, as memory and cognitive function decrease over time.
Communication is vital so everything I offer from initial meetings and then on to service delivery has consistent and honest communication at its heart – both with the client and the key person, as well as others within the care partnership team. I will always place my clients’ wishes, needs and preferences first. I am a non-corporate micro-provider of care provision/Home Help and maintain very high standards.
Cleaning is undertaken with associated companionship and/or other care needs and service requirements. The cleaning is thorough and tailored to your individual needs.
Advice provided plus general gardening maintenance (with supervision/assistance for people wishing to be involved directly) including lawns, pruning, weeding, planting etc. Design option and planting advice also available. I can purchase plants on your behalf, or via accompanied visit to a garden centre/nursery.
Professional finish for a good price and includes sheds and fences. Advice on colour schemes and purchase of materials also provided.
Includes putting up shelves, towel rails, blinds, curtain poles, patching holes in walls, repairing sheds or other damaged/worn/weathered items, assembling flat-pack furniture and general repair work for the house or sheds/out-buildings, etc.
Revive a tatty piece of furniture for a price cheaper than replacing with new and unique to you.
I can help you clear out and re-organise any space, indoors or outdoors including sheds. Storage solutions also provided.
This is for people who are elderly and/or have disabilities and are in need of help/support or company. Arts and crafts therapy is also an option.
